Fight against corruption with mobile application – win half a million Hungarian forints!
Contest by Transparency International Hungary

What are we looking for?

We are looking for Android platform-based mobile applications, which
·    promote the message that we should fight against corruption
·    make us aware and direct our attention to the problem and the adverse effects of corruption
·    help us fight against corruption
·    provides any other solution (including games and other applications) that relates to the topic!

What are the conditions for applying?

Anyone can apply as a Contestant if the application can be run on Android-based mobile phones. The application should run over Android version 2.1. Contestants may submit multiple applications.

The application must have a built-in:

·    TI Basic logo  ( )
·    TI Basic Facebook link ( )

Applications are recommended, but not required, to be built in or to include the below modules:

·    Built-in game features
·    Usage of the GPS function/features
·    Option to draw on map
·    Showing trends
·    Info graphic display
·    Usage of Transparency International’s materials ( )
·    Usage of RSS feeds
·    Social-media connection
·    Bilingual (English, Hungarian) application is an advantage

We can accept entries sent to us by 2 December, 2012.


First Prize :  500.000 HUF
Second Prize:  300.000 HUF
Third Prize:  100.000 HUF

The winning applications will be awarded at a ceremony on 7th December, 2012 as part of the “Átláccó Festival” at Boat A38 on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day.

Data management, privacy rights and copyrights:

All applications must:
(a) be the original work product of the Contestant;
(b) be solely owned by Contestant and with no other person or entity having any right or interest in it; and
(c) not violate the Intellectual Property rights including copyright, trademark, patent, contract, and/or privacy rights, of any other person or entity.  Contestant agrees to release Transparency International from any claims for damages of any kind or nature that arise from infringement of a third party’s Intellectual Property rights including copyright, trademark, patent, contract, and/or privacy rights.

An application and the authoring Contestant may be rejected and disqualified at the sole discretion of Transparency International Hungary if the application, either in part or in its entirety, is deemed to be obscene, defamatory, likely to incite violence or illegal activity, in violation of any third-party’s rights, or is otherwise deemed to be inappropriate.

The Contestant, by submitting the application(s) agrees to:
(a ) disclose his/her name in all print and other media related to the contest; and
(b) give his/her full consent automatically and free of charge that:
(i) Transparency International Hungary has permission to use, copy, modify, and distribute the winning application and its documentation for educational, research, and not-for-profit purposes without a signed licensing agreement;
(ii) grant all elements of the application to Transparency International Hungary, including source code;
(iii) the application can be publicized at Transparency International Hungary’s webpage, Facebook profile, in publications, brochures and other online publishing interfaces;
(iv) the entries can be accessible by the public at Transparency International Hungary’s events; and
(v) Transparency International Hungary can further distribute and use the winning applications as part of its campaigns;

Transparency International Hungary ensures that the application is presented with the applicant’s full name.

The contest is not open to employees Transparency International Hungary and Telenor.
