Our New Project Examining Local Governments Has Been Launched

In tandem with Transparency International Slovakia, TI Hungary is participating in a European Union project that supports cross-border cooperation. Under the auspices of this project, the two chapters are promoting the anti-corruption activity of local governments. In the first phase of the project, TI-Hungary selected two governments to make their functioning more transparent: Tatabanya and Salgotarjan. The staff of TI and experts from the University of Pecs visited Tatabanya on the 6th of September and came to an agreement with the representatives of the municipality on how best to cooperate . After conducting questionnaire-based research designed specifically for the two municipalities, TI-Hungary will organize a workshop and a training session to discuss their findings and to deliver practical information to the staff of the municipal governments, based on the results of the research.
